Deferred conditional discharge

From WikiMentalHealth

The MHRT can order that a conditional discharge be deferred until the conditions can be met. They cannot defer to a specific future date (unlike a deferred discharge in unrestricted cases).

They can reconvene after a period, and reconsider the case afresh if it has been impossible to give effect to the conditional discharge: R (IH) v SSHD (2003) UKHL 59.

See MHA 1983 s73(7) for further details.
